Gaza Ministry of Health: We are suffering from a 90% water deficit and the health sector is facing a serious crisis

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced a critical water shortage of up to 90%, further complicating the health situation in the Strip amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis. This shortage threatens to disrupt many essential health services, especially in hospitals and health centers.
According to the Ministry, the water outage exacerbates the dire situation in the Strip, which already suffers from severe shortages of medical and food supplies. This water shortage exposes patients and the injured to significant health risks at a time when basic needs are exacerbated.
In a related development, the Ministry of Health in Gaza warned that Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest hospital in the Strip, could be out of service in the coming hours due to the depletion of fuel needed to operate its generators.

Al-Shifa Hospital relies primarily on generators to operate medical equipment and provide healthcare to the injured. Its shutdown would threaten the lives of thousands of patients with critical injuries, threatening a health disaster.
