Israeli radar near Yemen to monitor Sana’a attacks
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
An international report revealed that the UAE has established a new base in the region and equipped it with modern technical equipment to monitor the attacks by Sana’a forces on “Israel.”
The “Middle East Eye” website stated in a recent report that “the UAE is building strategic bases in Yemen and Somalia while consolidating deep security relations with Israel to expand maritime influence.”
It added that “the UAE has deployed an Israeli-made radar system, model ELM-2084, in Bosaso, Somalia, to monitor Yemeni attacks against Israel and navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf.”
The report clarified that “the Israeli radar deployed by the UAE is used as a component of the (Iron Dome) system for countering drones and missiles, which reflects a direct Israeli role in the region’s security infrastructure.”
It mentioned that “reports indicate the UAE is accelerating the construction of a joint military base with Israel in the Socotra archipelago in Yemen to enhance control in the Indian Ocean and Gulf.”
Pointing out that “this strategic positioning shows the UAE using Israel as a hidden technical and security supporter to strengthen control over the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.”
The report confirmed “the presence of Israeli officers on the ground in the islands, and that the Israeli radar systems and other military and security equipment allow the UAE to monitor and thwart attacks launched by the Houthis.”
