Sana’a raises its demands amid Saudi attempts at de-escalation, and the tension of the borders looms over the scene

On Monday, Yemen raised its demands concurrently with a Saudi attempt at de-escalation, amid escalating tensions on the border again.

Officials in Sana’a began speaking about the impossibility of the Yemeni forces loyal to the coalition, represented by the “Presidential Council,” participating in any potential round of negotiations.

Leaders in the Ansar Allah movement had previously advised Riyadh to hand over these leaders, considering them implicated in war crimes.

The Yemeni talk about excluding the “Presidential Council” coincided with the revelation of international and regional communications aimed at de-escalation.

Ali Al-Maashani, an Omani researcher and expert, said that the Yemen file will dominate the scene in the coming days, referring to the reactivation of his country’s mediation between Sana’a and Riyadh.

These diplomatic moves come as Saudi fears escalate that a new war will slide.

The Saudi forces admitted installing alarm sirens for the first time in their history, referring to their fears of potential Yemeni operations.

The Saudi border has witnessed intensive movements in recent days, according to American media sources.

The sources revealed that Yemen has intensified reconnaissance drone flights in the area, which has raised Saudi concerns, especially in light of Yemeni threats to launch strategic strikes against Saudi Arabia due to its attempts to procrastinate on the peace file and evade post-truce obligations.

Sana’a’s new condition to exclude the “Presidential Council” is considered a shift in the peace file and indicates that it has made gains following its recent battle against the occupation and the American-British coalition, which now faces new obligations rather than escaping into an internal war.
