Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on southern and eastern Lebanon on Saturday, in yet another violation of the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon and Hezbollah.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that “Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on Saturday afternoon targeting the area between Mahmoudiya, Aishiya, and Jarmaq, on the eastern edge of the Kfar Rumman plain” in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon.
It added that “the attacking aircraft fired two air-to-surface missiles at the targeted area.”
The agency further reported that “enemy warplanes launched two airstrikes on the outskirts of the town of Shamshtar, west of Baalbek” in eastern Lebanon, without providing further details.
The Israeli warplanes also launched “airstrikes on the Jabal al-Rafie area near Arab Salim” in the Nabatieh district, according to the same source.
The Lebanese National News Agency also reported that an airstrike targeted a car on the Wadi Nahla road between the towns of Shaqra and Majdal Selm in the Marjeyoun district of southern Lebanon, “resulting in the death of one person.”
