International newspapers: The suspension of aid organizations’ work exacerbates the Gaza tragedy

International newspapers and websites highlighted Israel’s new measures to halt the work of international aid organizations in the Palestinian territories, the ongoing US-Israeli dispute over the Gaza Strip, and the war in Sudan.

Regarding the Israeli measures, The New York Times warned that deprivation and hunger remain rampant among nearly two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The newspaper noted that the foreign ministers of Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom called on Israel to allow aid organizations to operate in Gaza sustainably and regularly.

Doctors Without Borders also announced that preventing access to services in Gaza would have dire consequences for Palestinians. The organization explained that it supports approximately 20% of the total hospital beds in the Strip and assists in the birth of two-thirds of all babies.
