The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the death toll from the Israeli offensive in the Strip since October 2023 has risen to 72,082, with 171,761 wounded.
In its daily statistical report, the Ministry stated that hospitals in the Strip received nine martyrs in the past 24 hours, including three new deaths and six recovered bodies, in addition to four injuries. The report did not specify the circumstances of the new casualties.
Despite the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, Israel has committed hundreds of violations through shelling and gunfire, resulting in hundreds of casualties, both dead and wounded.
The Ministry reported that the death toll from Israeli violations of the agreement since October 11 has reached approximately 618, with 1,663 wounded.
Daily violations continue, despite the United States announcing in mid-January the start of the second phase of the agreement, amid Palestinian demands to compel Israel to cease fire and pressure it to fulfill what the agreement stipulated regarding the entry of the agreed quantities of food, relief, medical aid and shelter materials such as tents and mobile homes.
