Hamas calls on UN to protect civilians in Gaza Strip

Hamas on Saturday called on the international community and the United Nations to provide protection for civilians in the Gaza Strip following new forced displacement orders from the Israeli army to large areas in the central Gaza Strip for the second time in a week.
The movement said in a statement: “The fascist occupation army continues to issue warnings of displacement and displacement to citizens in the areas of the central governorate, especially in Al-Maghazi camp, the village of Al-Masdar and large areas of Deir al-Balah city, which are crowded with hundreds of thousands of displaced people from the north and south of the Gaza Strip.”
She added that this comes “under the weight of brutal bombardment, intimidation and massacres within the policy of the Zionist extremist government that seeks to deepen the suffering of our people, and the past crime of genocide and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip, which is carried out under the cover of US political and military support.”
