After its losing the battle… America throws Britain into the Red Sea quagmire, and Russia evacuates sailors
On Tuesday, the US began efforts to throw Britain into the quagmire of the Red Sea amid expectations of a multipolar battle there.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
According to Newsweek magazine, citing US Defense Department officials, two American destroyers are currently accompanying the British aircraft carrier “HMS Prince of Wales” as the battleships head towards the Red Sea.
The magazine hinted at an American effort to keep “Wales” in the Red Sea, after Britain had previously indicated in previous statements that its destination was the Pacific Ocean and that it would pass through the Bab Al-Mandeb strait.
The dispatch of “HMS Prince of Wales” to the Red Sea comes weeks after America’s announcement of an agreement with Yemen that includes a halt to the exchange of attacks, following a series of attacks on its fleet led by the American aircraft carrier “USS Harry S. Truman” that reached 34, the latest of which was the most fierce, where the US Defense announced the loss of F-18 fighters in less than a week.
Although the US had previously deployed about 5 aircraft carriers in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, all of which ended up withdrawing as the Yemeni attacks intensified, this is the first time it has forced Britain to send an aircraft carrier that is already suffering from technical problems, and its capture may be much easier than the American one, which is accustomed to maneuvering and escaping to distant distances.
In the context, Russia announced the evacuation of the crew of an oil tanker hit by US strikes on the port of Hudaydah weeks ago, which, according to experts, is an indication of anticipating international confrontations, especially in light of the British role eager to defeat Russia in Ukraine.
Britain did not hide its fears of the possibility of sinking “Wales,” which carries dozens of F-35 aircraft, in the Red Sea.
Earlier this month, British media outlets reported statements from officials about directing intensive training for possible rescue operations for sailors and pilots in Yemen.
Although Britain has been America’s most prominent ally in the war on Yemen since the beginning in January of last year, its role has declined after its warships were subjected to a series of attacks, leading to America dispensing with it in the operation launched by President Trump, which lasted for two months.
Britain has only recorded one operation prior to Trump’s announcement of stopping the aggression on Yemen, which was in the aftermath of the United States announcing the crash of an F-18 aircraft in Yemen.
Yemen still has Britain on the list of countries hostile to it, which Sana’a had issued weeks ago in retaliation for its aggression against Yemen.
