Israel closes all crossings with Gaza and prevents prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Israel closed all crossings with the Gaza Strip on Saturday, including the Rafah crossing, until further notice.
The Israeli government’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) said it had closed several crossings with the Gaza Strip, including the Rafah crossing, amid Israeli and US airstrikes on Iran.
The tightened security measures extended to the West Bank, where Al-Ghad’s correspondent reported that the Israeli army had expanded the closure of military checkpoints around several Palestinian cities in the West Bank.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli occupation forces prevented worshippers from performing the Isha and Taraweeh prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Saturday.
A video released by the Jerusalem Governorate on Saturday evening showed the Al-Aqsa Mosque empty of worshippers.
Earlier that day, occupation forces had closed the Al-Aqsa Mosque and forced worshippers to leave.
The Jerusalem Governorate also reported that occupation forces closed several military checkpoints in Jerusalem on Saturday evening and intensified their military measures at the city’s entrances and exits. On Saturday morning, the United States and Israel launched an attack against Iranian targets, prompting Tehran to retaliate by firing missiles at countries in the region, with the strikes concentrated on Israel.
