First photos of damage to the US aircraft carrier stationed in the Red Sea

The US admitted, on Saturday, the injury of the US aircraft carrier stationed in the Red Sea, the “USS Harry S. Truman.”

This coincides with the continuation of its return journey.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

American media outlets quoted sources as saying that the structure of the aircraft carrier suffered extensive damage, including cracks that reached the point of penetration.

The sources circulated photos showing significant damage to the American battleship.

The US Navy quickly acknowledged the damage to the “Truman,” trying to downplay it by claiming an alleged collision incident with a commercial ship in the Mediterranean off the Egyptian coasts, although Egypt has not confirmed this.

The American aircraft carrier is known to be the most armored, in addition to a fleet of battleships that cross next to it to secure it, which reduces the likelihood of a collision, as approaching it at close range is impossible and may lead to gunfire.

The “Truman” had been exposed to more than 5 attacks during its presence in the Red Sea, which did not last more than a few months.

Recently, the US Defense Department decided to withdraw the battleship, taking advantage of the stable situation created by the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

Experts believe that the marketing of collision claims may be part of American attempts to cover up Yemeni attacks that are believed to be behind this damage, especially with the US decision to lead the battleship towards its bases in the United States for maintenance.
