Euro-Mediterranean: Aid landings are degrading and do not address starvation in Gaza

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory said that the air landings of humanitarian supplies are degrading and do not address the state of starvation in Gaza, calling for the opening of the landways leading to the Strip to be entered in sufficient quantities.

And the Euro-Mediterranean Observatory added, in a statement, that landing aid through the air is an additional link in humiliating the Palestinians, insulting their dignity, and engineering starvation to serve the Israeli political and military goals. He stressed that this method carries real risks to the lives of civilians due to their overcrowding in an area less than 15% of the Gaza Strip.

He pointed out that “after months of harsh starvation, the airdrops do not provide the minimum humanitarian needs and do not address the catastrophic situation resulting from the deliberate Israeli starvation policy.”

The Euro-Mediterranean Observatory warned against tampering with the aim of relieving international pressures that began to be filled with starvation policy and the catastrophic humanitarian situation it led to in the Gaza Strip, which officially recorded 55 deaths as a result of starvation in a week.
