Yemeni Foreign Ministry: Israeli aggression on Sana’a and Al-Jawf is a flagrant violation of international law
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the airstrikes launched by the Israeli occupation on civilian areas in the capital Sana’a and Al-Jawf province, stressing that this aggressive escalation will not go unpunished and that the occupying entity will pay the price for its repeated attacks on Yemen.
In an official statement, the ministry considered that targeting journalists, citizens, and civilian facilities is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, including the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 and its additional protocols, noting that these crimes fall within a long series of violations committed by the occupation in the region.
The Foreign Ministry praised the vigilance of the Yemeni air defenses that confronted the aggressor aircraft, confirming that this aggression is added to the occupation’s record stained with blood and destruction and reflects its aggressive nature that does not respect international norms.
The ministry also expressed its condemnation of the international silence towards Israeli crimes in Yemen and Gaza, considering that this disregard encourages the occupation to continue its brutal policies and turns it into an entity that is exempt from any legal accountability.
The statement concluded by stressing that these attacks will only increase the Yemenis’ adherence to their firm positions in support of the Palestinian cause and their standing by the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle against the occupation.
