OCHA: The Zionist occupation imposed a “death sentence” on Gaza City

Olga Cherevko, a spokesperson for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), considered that the Zionist occupation had imposed a “death sentence” on Gaza City, noting that Palestinians were left with no choice but to leave the city or die.

This came during a press conference held via video link from the Deir al-Balah area in the southern Gaza Strip, where she spoke to a group of journalists working at the UN headquarters in New York.

Cherevko said, “Gaza City has been sentenced to death: either leave or die. Hundreds of thousands of exhausted, tired, and terrified civilians have been ordered to flee into a densely populated area,” referring to the Zionist entity’s warnings to displace and occupy the city’s residents.

The UN official stressed the need to stop the horrific violence in Gaza, saying, “We need urgent decisions to pave the way for a lasting peace before it’s too late; voices to silence the bombs; and actions to stop the bloodshed.”
