Revealing a Yemeni role in changing the position of the European Union and Britain against the Israeli occupation

Western diplomatic sources revealed the behind-the-scenes of the sudden change in the European and British position towards the Israeli escalation in Gaza.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The sources stated that one of the motives for the Western escalation against the occupation has a purely Yemeni dimension, explaining that the Union and Britain are extensively discussing the start of a dialogue with Yemen regarding the passage of ships and battleships through the Red Sea without objection, similar to the Yemeni agreement.

The file of Yemeni naval operations occupied the agenda of the ministerial meeting held by the European Union ministers in Brussels yesterday.

According to the sources, the ministers agreed to open a diplomatic communication channel with Sana’a to reach understandings regarding the passage of ships without objection.

The sources considered the escalation against the occupation would create the atmosphere for reaching a deal with Yemen, which requires stopping the war on Gaza and lifting the siege to stop the operations supporting Gaza.

As for Britain, according to the same sources, it is trying to prepare the situation for discussions around the crossing of the aircraft carrier “Wales,” which is still stuck, and Britain is seeking to cross it to the Pacific through the Bab Al-Mandeb.

The European Union and Britain had escalated their positions against the Israeli occupation for the first time since the start of the aggression on Gaza two years ago.

Britain imposed sanctions on settlers in parallel with the suspension of trade with the occupation and the summoning of the Israeli ambassador in London, while the European Union is preparing to suspend the Strategic Partnership Agreement with the Israeli occupation, according to French, Irish, and Dutch statements.

The occupation fears an escalation in the pace of confrontations regionally, especially with Yemen’s decision to impose a maritime and air blockade on the occupation, as the occupation’s ports and airports are the most prominent transit stations for Western ships and airlines.
