Israeli expert: Sana’a’s maritime attacks are “accurate and advanced” and have closed the port of Eilat for two years
The Israeli expert Yigal Maor, the former chairman of the Maritime and Ports Authority, acknowledged the development and accuracy of the recent attacks carried out by the Sana’a forces against ships related to Israel in the Red Sea, warning of their continued strategic and economic consequences.
Follow ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Maor said in statements to the Israeli newspaper “Davar” that the attacks witnessed a “new military tactic,” where the missiles targeted the ships accurately, then the naval commando forces attacked them before they were bombarded and sunk in the end.
He confirmed that the return of Israeli navigation to the Red Sea “is not imminent,” expressing his pessimism about finding a quick solution to this crisis.
He also revealed that the port of Eilat, one of the most important Israeli ports, has been “almost completely closed for two years,” causing major economic and strategic consequences.
The Zionist expert explained that Eilat was a vital hub for importing cars, consumer goods, medicines, and livestock, as well as exporting phosphates to countries such as India and China, noting that these operations have “almost completely stopped.”
