International newspapers: killing children exposes the cost of searching for life in Gaza

International newspapers and websites have highlighted in reports and articles the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip due to the Israeli occupation’s practices against civilians, including starvation and killing, in addition to the Israeli military intervention in Syria.

The British newspaper The Guardian addressed the Israeli army’s killing of Karam and Lulu al-Ghusain, siblings aged nine and ten, at a water distribution point in Gaza. The newspaper stated that their killing reveals how the pursuit of the most basic necessities of life has become synonymous with mortal danger.

The newspaper added that the Israeli bombing, which killed 10 people, including six children, tore Karam and Lulu’s bodies apart, prompting their father to prevent his wife from seeing them.

Foreign Policy magazine published an article by Matthew Dass, in which he emphasized that the previous US administration lied about Gaza and that it is time to hold its leaders accountable for this. The writer continued, “The basis of the lie promoted by the administration of former President Joe Biden was that the severe harm caused by Israel to civilians in Gaza was not intentional, wondering how Biden continued to believe the promises of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (wanted by the International Criminal Court) despite his repeated breaches of them.”
