Tribal Mediation Succeeds in Holding Truce in Marib
A tribal mediation succeeded on Sunday in establishing a truce between the Saudi-led coalition forces and Al Jalal tribes in al-Abaidah district of Marib province.
According to tribal sources in the province, the mediation, which sent by the coalition and the authority of the Saudi-lbacked exiled Hadi government” in Marib, came after violent battles that the city witnessed mong the two sides.
The sources indicated that the Al Jalal tribes gave the coalition forces and the Islah militia eight hours to implement their conditions agreed upon by the coalition.
Violent clashes erupted on Saturday between Al Jalal tribes and forces loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Abidah valley in Marib province.
The sources said that the tribesmen were able to cut the main roads between the Abidah valley and Marib city and the international road linking Marib with Al-Abr area and Al-Wadeah crossing at borders with Saudi Arabia.
