Emirati moves toward military escalation in conjunction with Sana’a and Riyadh negotiations

Hadramout – Al-Masa Press:

The UAE initiated intense military movements in the province of Hadramout on Sunday as a prelude to escalating the military situation in the province. The objective is to complicate matters and undermine the ongoing negotiations between Riyadh and Sana’a in the Saudi capital.

Al-Hiba Al-Hadrami and the STC deployed their forces once more in the Sah district adjacent to the city of Seiyun, the stronghold of the Saudi-supported Al-Islah Forces, according to reliable sources in Hadramout.

This military deployment comes in conjunction with the circulation of news about an imminent agreement between Riyadh and Sana’a with the aim of ending the war in Yemen.

According to the sources, Abu Dhabi is making these moves in an effort to seize control of the province of Hadramout, over which there are major disputes with Riyadh. Additionally, by using its port to export oil and using the revenue from oil and gas exports to pay employee salaries, the province will effectively contribute to the political solution currently being negotiated.

The UAE’s apparent discontent with the negotiations between Sana’a and Riyadh, which was voiced through its media and activists, coincided with these recent movements.
