Sana’a Informs Omani Delegation: Patience Has Limits, There Is No Truce without Salaries
President of pro-Houthis Supreme Political Council (SPC), the highest ruling authority in Sana’a, Mahdi al-Mashat, met on Thursday with the Omani delegation, who is currently visiting Yemen, to discuss efforts made to bring peace to Yemen.
In the meeting, Al-Mashat stressed Sana’a’s desire for a just and honorable peace that achieves stability and prosperity for the people of Yemen and the region in general.
“There can be no truce if it doesn’t not respond to the just and just demands of the Yemeni people represented in paying the salaries of all state employees from Yemen’s oil and gas wealth and opening all airports and ports, and there is no way to back down from protecting the Yemeni people’s oil and gas wealth,” al-Mashat said.
Mr. President appreciated the efforts made by the brothers in the Sultanate of Oman and their positive role in achieving the honorable peace that all the Yemeni people aspire to.
He expressed his strong dissatisfaction with the negative role played by America and Britain in Yemeni affairs, as well as the identification of the UN envoy with the misinformation campaigns led by the two states.
“The patience of the Yemeni people is not endless,” added he, warning that the Yemeni people may be forced to take steps that would preserve their interests.
