UAE Grabs the Two Most Important Sectors in Hadhramaut

Exclusive-Alkhabar Alyemeni:
UAE and Aden’s government signed agreements in the oil and gas sectors in Hadhramaut, most notably the establishment of an oil refinery and another station for domestic gas production in the oil and gas fields in Masilah.
The value of those projects that were signed between the ministers of electricity and oil in Aden’s government and their Emirati counterparts was not specified in the presence of UAE governor in Hadhramaut, Mabkhout bin Madi, but the agreement also included a gas power station with a capacity of 150 megawatts for the coast of Hadhramaut, indicating that it is the price.
The signing of these projects comes days after regional and international movement in an attempt to narrow the differences gap between Saudi Arabia and UAE, as the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grunberg, arrived in Abu Dhabi and met with officials there, most notably the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Anwar Gargash, who announced later in the meeting that his country would perpetuate Saudi Arabia. The US envoy met also the UAE foreign minister in Washington to discuss developments in the Yemeni file, specifically the relationship within the GNA, which was damaged by regional differences.
The signing coincided with the Transitional Council’s announcement that it had withdrawn from its demands to represent the south and that its factions leave Aden, indicating that it is within an agreement with Saudi Arabia that guarantees UAE shares of Hadhramaut oil and gas in exchange for handing over Aden and abandoning the Transitional Council.
