Sana’a unveils a new agreement on prisoners
Sana’a revealed, on Monday, the scenes of the stalled kick out of the new round of prisoner exchange negotiations, which were expected today.
“Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni”:
Head of prisoners’ committee in Sana’a delegation, Abd al-Qadir al-Murtada, attributed the reason of the delay in implementing the prison visits agreement caused by some UN logistical measures.
It was expected, according to what was previously announced, that a new round of prisoner negotiations would start today in the Swiss capital.
Al-Murtada confirmed that an agreement had been reached with UN, including the start of the exchange of prison visits on the twentieth of this month.
The parties, which succeeded before Eid al-Fitr in concluding a deal to release 880 prisoners, including leaders, are looking forward to pushing for the success of the second round of prisoner negotiations, which includes thousands of prisoners. According to the Aden government announcement, it is expected to start at the end of this month.
