Sana’a Negotiating Delegation: Continuation Interruption of Salaries Threaten “Fragile” Ceasefire

Sana’a – Al-Masa-Press:

A member of the Sana’a negotiation delegation, Abdulmalik Al-Ajri, warned the coalition about Yemen’s continued salary disruptions.

In a post on the “X” platform, the member of the delegation indicated that Sana’a has focused on peacefully restoring the rights of employees, stating, “The situation is now at a critical stage.”

Al-Ajri said, “Although aggression is to blame for the interruption of salaries, the authority and the national government rests with it the major accountability for restoring the rights of employees. He stressed that the lack of swift and effective action to find a solution to this crisis could result in an escalation of events and the worsening of the current conditions.

He confirmed that a peaceful and just solution is the optimal way to end this crisis because if efforts continue to falter and things get complicated due to the coalition, the situation will take an undesirable escalatory path.

Al-Ajri emphasized the importance of the international community and United Nations intervention to understand the gravity of the salary issue and its impact on the ceasefire, stating, “What the international community and the United Nations should realize is that the salary issue has become a serious threat to the fragile ceasefire.”
