Houthi orders the release of dozens of prisoners in Sana’a
On Sunday, 85 prisoners who were accused cases not related to honor, murder, or drugs were freed by Sana’a’s legal authorities.

According to the source, the Attorney General, Judge Mohammed Al-Dailami, confirmed that prison visits will be extended to the provinces to assist those who have run afoul of the law for the first time. He also added that this release was carried out in accordance with the directives of the Ansar Allah leader, Abdel-Malik Al-Houthi.
According to him, ‘prisoners who are detained for the first time and are awaiting trial in non-serious cases will have their names forwarded to the Supreme Judicial Council to expedite their trials.
The Sana’a government had previously released hundreds of prisoners convicted in non-serious cases at the direction of the Al-Sayyed, while large numbers of destitute people were released after “the Zakat Authority” paid their debts.
